We are seeking an experienced genetics technologist skilled in wet lab techniques who wants to make a direct impact on quality diagnostic patient care.

Position Summary

Performs genetic testing in accordance with CAP standards in an accurate and timely manner.

This High Complexity Testing May Include

• Fluorescence In-Situ Hybridization (FISH)
• Real-time Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR)
• Cytogenetic chromosome analysis
• Next Generation Sequencing (NGS)
• Pharmacogenomics (PGx)
• Chromosomal Microarray (CMA)

Tests may have significant clinical impact and results are obtained through manual and automated processes. The role requires technical expertise, problem-solving skills, manual dexterity, and attention to detail. Technologists will operate various software and instruments, following established policies and professional standards.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must qualify as testing personnel performing high complexity testing as defined by CLIA
• 4-year bachelor's degree
• Three or more years of experience as a genetics technologist

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related scientific field
• ASCP certification in cytogenetics, molecular biology, or medical technology
• Additional related education and/or experience
• Qualifies as a General Supervisor under CLIA '88
