St. Luke’s Health System in Twin Falls, Idaho, is seeking a Board Certified/Eligible Genetic Counselor to join our Cancer Institute as the sole genetics professional in a collaborative team.

You will evaluate patients for hereditary cancer risk, provide genetic counseling, and coordinate care for patients and families with a wide range of oncology services and on-site support. A competitive salary and robust benefits package accompany this role.

Qualifications

• Experience in hereditary cancer genetics is preferred

Responsibilities

• Serve as the sole genetic counselor at the St. Luke's Cancer Institute in Twin Falls
• Evaluate patients for hereditary predisposition to cancer and benign hematologic conditions; provide genetic counseling and coordinate care
• Coordinate communication between patients, families, physicians, and hospital staff
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Cancer Institute

St. Luke's Health System is looking for a full-time Board Certified/Board Eligible genetic counselor to join our collaborative team of six genetic counselors.

What to Expect

• This position will be the sole genetic counselor at the St. Luke's Cancer Institute in Twin Falls, Idaho where patients receive care from a compassionate team of medical, radiation, and gynecologic oncology specialists along with an on-site pharmacy, lab, and a wide range of supportive services.
• The genetic counselor will evaluate patients for hereditary predisposition to cancer and benign hematologic conditions, providing genetic counseling and coordinating care for the patient and family.
• The genetic counselor will serve as a resource to physicians, hospital staff, and patients/families at the Cancer Institute in Twin Falls.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience: 0 years
• Licenses/Certifications: Certified or Board eligible, licensure from the state of practice, or provisional license before hire date

Preferred Qualifications

• Board certified with at least 1 year of experience as an oncology genetic counselor
