Job summary

A leading health care company is seeking a Genetic Counselor in Charlotte, NC. The role includes providing in-person prenatal genetic counseling at a Maternal Fetal Medicine Practice. The successful candidate will enjoy independence and access to a large team of professionals. A Master's degree in Genetics and certification is required, with a preference for prior prenatal counseling experience. This position is full-time, and competitive compensation and benefits are offered.

Labcorp Women's Health and Genetics division has an immediate opening for a Genetic Counselor to provide in-person prenatal genetic counseling services to a large Maternal Fetal Medicine Practice. As a Genetic Counselor providing genetic counseling services, the successful candidate will enjoy independence combined with the support of a team of genetic counselors. The client that this position will be supporting is based in Charlotte, NC.

The schedule for this position will be: Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm.

Candidate must be located in the Charlotte, NC area or be willing to relocate.

In This Job You Will

• Have the opportunity to provide direct patient care for a wide variety of complex indications
• Be able to engage in professional growth opportunities include research studies and publications, physician education, program development, and other key initiatives and projects
• Be part of a team of over 100 counseling colleagues and have access to the expertise of a nation-wide organization of medical geneticists and molecular/PhD geneticists

Requirements

• MA/MS in Human Genetics/Genetic Counseling
• ABGC/ABMG certification or active candidate status required
• Previous prenatal genetic counseling experience highly preferred
• Highly organized, including excellent time management skills
• Strong multi-tasking ability with excellent attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
• Strong computer skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office
