Job summary

Long Island Emergency Power Inc is seeking an experienced technician to join our team in Long Island, NY. The role focuses on maintenance of backup power systems, especially generators and engines, with an emphasis on reliability and quality workmanship.

The ideal candidate has hands-on mechanical knowledge, is punctual, able to work independently, and willing to work outdoors year-round. Overtime may be required; training and certification opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience working with generators.
• Experience working with engines.
• Must be reliable, responsible and punctual.
• Mechanical or engine knowledge preferred.
• Must be technically and mechanically inclined.
• Training and certifications are a plus.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be willing to work outdoors year round and in inclement weather.
• Occasional overtime may be required.
• Must have a clean driver's license to operate company vehicle.
• Will provide paid training and/or certification.
