RALCO Electric & Generator in Westport, MA is seeking a Generator Technician to service a variety of engines and generators across emergency and scheduled jobs. You will work with skilled colleagues to diagnose issues, repair standby generators, and perform preventive maintenance in diverse settings.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation and a clean driving record.
• 2+ years of generator technician experience preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot independently.
• Strong mechanical and/or electrical aptitude.
• Proficient with standard industry tools and techniques.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Kohler Site Tech and Cummins INPOWER is a plus.
• OSHA 10 Certification is required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety protocols and OSHA guidelines.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain engines used in electric generators.
• Diagnose trouble, disassemble engines, and examine parts for defects and excessive wear.
• Perform load banking and repair of standby power generators.
• Maintain proper inventory of generator parts in service vehicle.
• Complete all paperwork in a timely manner.
• Respond to 24-hour emergency calls to repair remote generator systems as needed.
• Maintain assigned company vehicle per policy.
