Generac channel partner in Irwin, PA is seeking a skilled Generator Technician to install, maintain, and repair generators ensuring reliable power for clients. This role requires technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a strong commitment to safety and quality.

You will perform routine maintenance, diagnose and repair generator issues, and keep detailed service records. The position offers on-call rotations and opportunities to contribute to upgrades and reliability improvements.

Qualifications

• Proficient with reading technical schematics and diagnostics tools.
• Able to work independently and with a team.
• Capable of lifting 50+ lbs and working in various environments.
• Valid driver’s license and 2+ years generator experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine generator maintenance: oil changes, filters, system checks.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot generator malfunctions and failures.
• Replace or repair defective parts and components as needed.
• Test and verify repairs to ensure proper operation.
• Conduct regular inspections of generators and related systems.
• Prepare and submit detailed inspection reports and recommendations.
• Offer recommendations for upgrades or replacements as needed.
• Maintain records of service activities, repairs, and parts used.
• Complete and submit service reports in a timely manner.
• Participate in on-call rotations for emergency repairs.
• Communicate with inside staff regarding work orders status.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of generators to ensure reliable power supply for our clients. This role requires technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a strong commitment to safety and quality.

What You'll Do

• Perform routine maintenance on generators, including oil changes, filter replacements, and system checks.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot generator malfunctions and failures
• Replace or repair defective parts and components as needed.
• Test and verify repairs to ensure proper operation.
• Conduct regular inspections of generators and associated systems to identify potential issues or safety hazards.
• Prepare and submit detailed inspection reports and recommendations.
• Offer recommendations for upgrades or replacements as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of all service activities, including repairs, maintenance, and parts used.
• Complete and submit service reports in a timely manner.
• Participate in on-call rotations for emergency repairs
• Communicate with inside staff regarding the status of work orders.

What You'll Bring

• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment and the ability to read technical schematics.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to lift heavy equipment and tools, up to 50+ lbs.
• Capable of working in various environmental conditions.
• Valid Driver's License
• 2+ years working with generators preferred
