Job description

Up to $50 per Hour + Overtime at 1.5x + Health Insurance + 15 Days PTO

required for a hands-on role focused on diesel generator repair, preventative maintenance, equipment refurbishment, and temporary electrical installations across jobsites in Dallas, Texas.

The Generator Technician will be responsible for diagnosing faults, repairing and refurbishing generator equipment, and carrying out maintenance on generators of various sizes. The role also involves supporting temporary electrical installations and ensuring work is completed safely and in accordance with applicable codes.

• Up to $30 -$50 per hour
• Overtime paid at 1.5x the standard hourly rate, equivalent to up to $75 per hour.

The Generator Technician / Diesel Generator Technician / Generator Service Technician Role:

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, service, and repair diesel generators and associated equipment.
• Carry out preventative maintenance on generators of various sizes at customer jobsites.
• Identify mechanical and electrical faults and complete necessary repairs.
• Repair, refurbish, and maintain generator equipment in the shop.
• Troubleshoot generator performance and operational issues to restore equipment functionality.
• Assist with the installation and testing of temporary electrical wiring systems at jobsites.
• Ensure electrical installations are safe, fit for purpose, and code compliant.
• Provide technical support to the Shop Manager and maintain high standards of safety and workmanship.
• Proven experience in generator maintenance, servicing, repair, or refurbishment.
• Experience working on diesel-powered generators and diagnosing mechanical or electrical faults.
• Practical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with electrical equipment and temporary electrical installations.
• Strong understanding of workplace safety and risk management.
• Ability to work independently and complete repairs efficiently.
