Job summary

Infinity Communications Group seeks a Generator Technician to maintain and repair IC engines and diesel/gaseous generators on site in Virginia. The role requires strong organizational and communication skills, certifications, and a valid driver's license.

Expect a flexible schedule including 12-hour shifts, holidays, overtime, weekends, and on-call rotations with extensive travel. The position offers comprehensive benefits and is not remote; PPE and lodging are provided when traveling.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of relevant industry experience.
• Job-related certifications are required.
• Strong organizational, computer, and communication skills.
• A valid Driver's License is required.
• Willing to work a flexible schedule, including 12-hour shifts, holidays, overtime, weekends, and on-call rotations.
• Ability to travel extensively and work away from home as required by job demands.

Responsibilities

• Execute maintenance, modifications, and repairs on IC engines and diesel/gaseous generators.
• Ensure a safe worksite with a focus on quality and efficiency.
• Manage and maintain accurate paperwork, logs, and records (Excel and Word).
• Provide leadership, teaching, and training on proper work and safety procedures.
• Comply with company motor vehicle policies and maintain applicable logbooks (e.g., FDOT).
