Generator Supercenter of Tampa Bay is seeking a dependable and skilled Generator Mechanic - A/C Service Technician to join our field team. This full-time role involves visiting residential job sites, diagnosing and repairing whole-home standby generators, and supporting ATS systems while providing excellent customer service.

The position requires 1+ years of generator/engine repair experience, the ability to read diagrams, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of generator service, small engine repair, or related mechanical/electrical work.
• Strong customer service and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and service manuals.
• Independent field work with minimal supervision.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.
• Physical ability to climb ladders, lift equipment, and work outdoors.
• Familiarity with residential generator systems and ATS technology is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Travel to residential job sites using a company-provided service vehicle
• Perform diagnostics, routine maintenance, and repairs on whole-home standby generators
• Troubleshoot and service mechanical and electrical components, including ATS systems
• Read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals
• Clearly communicate with customers regarding services performed and any recommendations
• Accurately document all work in our service management software
• Follow safety protocols and industry best practices when working around electricity
• Support emergency service calls during weather-related outages or storms, as needed

• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (occasional flexibility required for emergencies)

• Compensation: Based on experience and skill level
