Job summary

ERock is seeking a Generator Systems Specialist – Engine & Mechanical to diagnose and resolve complex engine issues on natural gas generators. You will work with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality to ensure performance, reliability, and quality across FAT and field service activities.

You will interpret engine data, participate in design reviews, and mentor technicians while contributing to continuous improvement in product reliability and manufacturability.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience troubleshooting industrial engines, generators, or heavy equipment.
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings, engine docs, and electrical schematics.

Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced diagnostics and troubleshooting of natural gas-powered generators with focus on engine, fuel, cooling, lubrication, and mechanical systems.
  • Diagnose engine performance issues using inspection techniques, service tools, and data analysis.
  • Troubleshoot fuel delivery, ignition, cooling, lubrication, emissions, and engine accessories.
  • Perform root cause analysis and recommend actions to improve reliability and manufacturability.
  • Support FAT by resolving engine and mechanical issues identified during testing.
  • Document findings and corrective actions in the quality management system.
  • Provide guidance to technicians during complex diagnostics.
