Job summary

Fidelity Power Systems, a leading distributor of Kohler Generators and Power Systems, seeks an experienced Generator Technician to join our growing team serving the Greater Chesapeake area from Chesapeake, VA. You will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing critical power equipment and will work closely with customers to deliver reliable power solutions.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with gas and diesel engines, electrical boards, and routine generator

Qualifications

• Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair standby power equipment.
• Experience with generator maintenance and electrical systems.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on standby generator systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair gas and diesel engines.
• Troubleshoot electrical circuit boards.
• Perform routine generator maintenance including oil and filter changes, fuel filter changes, and cooling system services.
• Troubleshoot complete electrical systems.
• Work with customers one-on-one.
• Complete and submit work orders and reports.
• Prepare accurate quotes for repairs.
• Maintain truck inventory.

Fidelity Power Systems, one of the nation's largest distributors of Kohler Generators and Power Systems, is seeking a seasoned Generator Technician to join our expanding team operating around the Greater Chesapeake area (based out of Chesapeake, VA)!

If you are highly skilled in troubleshooting, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing critical power equipment, YOU may be just who we are looking for!

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform preventative maintenance on standby generator systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair gas and diesel engines.
• Troubleshoot electrical circuit boards.
• Perform routine generator maintenance to include oil and filter change, fuel filter change, and cooling system services.
• Troubleshoot complete electrical systems.
• Work with customers on a one-on-one basis.
• Complete and submit work orders and reports.
• Prepare accurate quotes for repairs.
• Maintain truck inventory.

PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• High School diploma or GED.
• Vo-tech school or Military training, a plus.
• John Deere, Cummins, and/or Caterpillar engine training is preferred.
• Training on Automatic Transfer Switches.
• Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
