Express Employment Professionals is seeking an experienced Generator Mechanic to join a Tulsa-based team specializing in the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of commercial and industrial power generation equipment. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in hands‑on technical work, understands engine systems, and can diagnose issues with precision and confidence.
Generator Maintenance — Perform routine service, inspections, and preventative maintenance on diesel and gas‑powered generators.
Diagnostics & Troubleshooting — Identify mechanical, electrical, and fuel‑system issues using diagnostic tools and technical manuals.
Repairs & Overhauls — Repair or replace components including alternators, voltage regulators, wiring, fuel systems, and engine parts.
Load Testing — Conduct load bank testing to ensure proper generator performance and reliability.
Documentation — Complete service reports, maintenance logs, and parts usage records accurately.
Mechanical Aptitude with diesel or gas engines
Experience working with power generation equipment
Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and service manuals
Strong understanding of electrical systems and safety procedures
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in varying environments
Prior work as a Generator Technician, Diesel Mechanic, or Industrial Maintenance Tech
Familiarity with brands such as Cummins, Generac, Kohler, or CAT
Certifications in EGSA, diesel technology, or electrical systems (not required but a plus)
Full-time position
Weekly pay through Express Employment Professionals
$24+ per hour, depending on experience
