Job summary

Rack Electric in Florida is expanding its generator service team to install, maintain, and service generator monitoring systems on a planned route for residential and commercial customers.

The role requires a strong mechanical foundation, technical aptitude, and a clean driving record. On-call rotations, after-hours support during storms, and in-person site visits are part of the responsibilities. Training is provided to learn ATS load shedding and surge protection basics.

Qualifications

Strong mechanical foundation and proven technical aptitude.
Electrical background is a plus; knowledge of ATS, load shedding, and surge protection is a great advantage.
Clean Driver's License; Drug Free (We are a Drug Free company).
Own basic electrical/plumbing tools and testing equipment.
Physically able to lift up to 70 lbs and work in demanding conditions.

Responsibilities

Execute bi-annual maintenance for residential and commercial customers on a planned route.
Install and service generator monitoring systems.
Diagnose and resolve operational issues on generators and related components.
Deliver routine maintenance and performance checks.
Use our CRM to manage work orders, documentation, and a paperless workflow.
Participate in a one-week-at-a-time emergency on-call rotation.

Comfortable working in extreme heat, wind, and rain.
