Job summary

Generator One is seeking an Installation Technician to join our installation team in Mentor, OH. You will install, connect, and test generators, ATS, electrical services, and related equipment, using measuring tools and hand tools.

You will work with the lead technician to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently, documenting all steps on an iPad and maintaining a clean job site. A strong electrical or gas piping understanding is preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required.
• Skilled with power tools and hand tools.
• Willing to enter attics and crawl spaces.
• Able to lift and move parts up to 80 pounds.
• Electrical or gas piping knowledge preferred.
• Excellent customer interaction skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead technician with daily installations and repairs of electrical systems.
• Work closely with the lead technician to ensure that work is completed and job site is clean.
• Organizes work by receiving and studying work orders; gathering tools and supplies.
• Repairs electrical problems by replacing faulty parts and components.
• Maintains safe work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with codes.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications.
• Tests electrical systems to ensure proper installation and operation.
• Inspects electrical systems to determine whether repairs are needed.
• Replaces conduit and wiring as needed.
• Complete special projects and perform other related duties as assigned.
