Job summary

Energy Systems, a Generac Industrial Distributor, seeks a skilled Fabricator to support welding and fabrication for the sales, service, rental and construction teams. The role demands reliable, hands-on craftsmanship and the ability to read basic specs.

Duties include installing vent extensions, spill boxes, DPF and load bank systems on generators, doing field or shop welding, and creating reports of work performed. Travel occasionally and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 2 years welding or fabrication in field work or shop work.
• Welding or Fabricator Certified preferred.
• 5+ years’ experience in welding or fabrication in field work or shop work.

Responsibilities

• Provide welding and fabrication support for Sales, Service, Rental and Construction Department.
• Install vent extensions, spill boxes on generators.
• Install DPF systems and load bank systems on generators.
• Work with project management team to spec modification estimates.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance service and/or repairs of generators.
• Detect faulty operations, defective material and report them and any other unusual situations to the service manager.
• Create reports for all work performed in FieldServio.
• Communicate report findings through but not limited to phone calls, emails and in person communication.
