Job summary

TruStage invites motivated students to join our Emerging Professional Program for an AI-focused IT internship in Madison, WI. The 10-week, full-time internship runs June 1, 2027, through August 6, 2027, with in-person work at our TruStage office.

Eligible applicants are pursuing an undergraduate degree and need not require immigration sponsorship. You’ll help research AI, develop and test AI-powered solutions, and collaborate with IT teams to apply responsible AI practices while gaining

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing an associate’s degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated interpersonal and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Research, evaluate, and document emerging AI technologies, tools, and industry trends.
• Assist in developing, testing, and implementing AI-powered solutions, automations, and business process improvements.
• Support Generative AI initiatives, including prompt development, experimentation, testing, and optimization.
• Assist with data collection, preparation, validation, and analysis to support AI and analytics projects.
• Create and maintain documentation, user guides, knowledge articles, and project materials.
• Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to gather requirements and identify opportunities for AI adoption.
• Support proof-of-concept (POC) projects involving AI, machine learning, automation, or intelligent assistants.
• Assist in evaluating AI outputs for quality, accuracy, usability, and business value.
• Participate in project meetings, brainstorming sessions, and innovation workshops.
• Communicate project updates, findings, recommendations, and technical concepts to team members and stakeholders.
• Follow established IT, cybersecurity, data privacy, and responsible AI practices and standards.
