Job summary

Allstate is seeking a passionate Backend Developer to join our engineering team. You will design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs, integrating Generative AI capabilities into enterprise applications.

Responsibilities include deploying AI models, fine-tuning LLMs, and building secure microservices. You’ll work with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD on Azure, using Java Spring Boot or Python FastAPI and collaborating across teams to deliver reliable, high-performance systems.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of backend development experience with Java Spring Boot or Python.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Experience integrating Generative AI models (OpenAI, LangChain).
• Familiarity with LLM orchestration and RAG pipelines.
• Prompts, embeddings, and vector databases knowledge.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs.
• Integrate and deploy Generative AI models into production environments.
• Fine-tune and optimize LLMs for specific use cases.
• Build secure, scalable, and high-performance microservices.
• Monitor and improve system performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Deploy and manage applications on cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and CI processes.
