Job summary

Rodeo FX seeks a Generative AI Artist to craft images and sequences supporting every stage of a project—from visual direction to final shots for advertising. This hybrid role blends creative vision with technical rigor, collaborating with compositing, 3D, real-time, and art direction teams to extend capabilities while preserving artistic intent.

You will develop workflows, train LoRAs, evaluate models, and produce visuals that meet studio standards, using AI to explore creative directions

Qualifications

• Portfolio demonstrating strong taste and visual judgment.
• Artistic background in illustration, photography, concept art, movt design, or cinematography.
• Proficiency with ComfyUI and building custom workflows and graphs.
• Experience training LoRAs and preparing datasets.
• Proficiency with at least two video-generation models and several image-generation models.
• Understanding of VFX workflows and the constraints of advertising production.
• Photoshop proficiency; foundational compositing skills preferred.
• Proficiency in French and English, spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain your own workflows in ComfyUI, combining multiple models based on shot needs.
• Train LoRAs on image and video models and prepare required datasets.
• Test new models methodically and select the right tool by quality, control, turnaround time, cost.
• Deliver professional-quality visuals quickly and in line with studio standards.
• Generate visual directions, lookframes, key visuals, animatics, and final shots for ads and IP development.
• Think cinematically: framing, lens choice, lighting, camera movement, editing rhythm.
• Use AI to explore, iterate, and propose creatives without replacing human intent.
• Ensure every image supports story, language, and overall consistency.
• Maintain consistency of characters, products, and visual worlds; ensure reproducibility.
• Deliver outputs in formats usable by compositing, 3D, and finishing teams; appropriate color space, resolution, frame rate, passes.
• Use live-action plates, on-set capture, or mocap data to guide generation.
• Explore generative 3D techniques for environments and previs.
• Track credit and compute usage across projects and report on it.
• Work closely with art directors, supervisors, producers, and artists across departments.
• Explain to producers/clients what AI can do, what it cannot do, and what it costs.
• Be comfortable saying when AI is not right for a shot.
• Respect copyright and consent; protect client materials; no content uploaded to unapproved platforms.
• Actively stay current in a rapidly evolving field; document methods and contribute to internal library.
