Job summary

Portland General Electric in Wilsonville, Oregon is seeking a Staff/Senior Generation Construction Manager to lead contracted construction activities in the Generation Department, safely delivering on time and within budget. You’ll contribute during pre-design, engineering and final design phases, coordinating with stakeholders and contractors.

Open to senior or staff level, you need a bachelor’s degree in CM or engineering, 8+ years of complex project leadership, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
• Eight or more years in managing complex construction projects.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• CCM or PMP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safety Practices and Training: ensure safety and communicate with teams.
• Project Planning: define scope, budget, schedule, and performance for complex projects; manage bid processes.
• Environmental Requirements: coordinate permits and environmental compliance.
• Constructability: assess construction knowledge during planning and design phases.
• Project Coordination: manage multisite activities and monitor progress.
• Contract Administration: oversee contracts, changes, and payments.
• Claims and Issue Resolution: resolve contractor performance issues and disputes.
