Position Summary:
Responsible to perform diagnostic imaging procedures in accordance with state regulations and facility protocols. The GXMO will work closely with patients, technologists, and healthcare providers to produce high-quality radiographic images that assist in accurate diagnosis and treatment.
Position Responsibilities/Standards:
General
- Attend department, clinic or company meetings as required
- Demonstrate sound judgment by taking appropriate actions regarding questionable findings or concerns

- Consistently demonstrate ability to respond to changing situations in a flexible manner in order to meet current needs, such as reprioritizing work as necessary.
- Attend required annual in-service program and/or required CEU’s
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of all company policies and procedures.
- Consistently demonstrate attention to detail in documentation, recording and patient information.
- Adheres to established facility safety requirements and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Identifies potentially unsafe situations and notifies supervisor
Specific Duties
- Operate general radiographic equipment to perform diagnostic imaging exams within scope of licensure/certification.
- Position patients properly and ensure their safety and comfort during procedures.
- Prepare and maintain imaging equipment, rooms, and supplies.
- Accurately document procedures and maintain patient records.
- Adhere to radiation safety protocols and infection control standards.
- Assist radiologic technologists, physicians, or other healthcare professionals as needed.
- Maintain compliance with Ohio Department of Health (ODH) regulations and GXMO licensure requirements.
- Be available to physicians during office hours
- Ensure equipment is maintained properly
Additional Duties
- OSHA
- Travel to satellite offices as necessary
Education/Experience Required:
- Graduate of an approved technical, professional, or vocational program in healthcare
- GXMO certification in upper extremities, lower extremities and spine
- Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS/CPR)
Physical Requirements:
Physical requirements for the position include the ability to frequently hear and communicate orally, see up close and at a distance, read and comprehend, stand, sit, walk, reach, handle, and/or feel objects. Must be able to climb, pull, push and kneel. Maximum unassisted lift = 50 lbs. Average lift 25-50 lbs.
