Job summary

A healthcare staffing company is seeking a Vascular Technologist for a full-time position in Round Rock, Texas. The role involves performing vascular diagnostic procedures, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining equipment. Candidates must possess BLS certification and relevant medical credentials such as a Cardiographic Tech or Sonography Tech qualification, along with a high school diploma or equivalent experience.

Qualifications

Licensure as a BLS Provider required within 30 days of hire.
Cardiographic Tech or Sonography Tech credentials required.
Education must meet specified cumulative experience criteria.

Monitor patient comfort and safety during tests.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Position patients and set technical parameters accurately.
Ensure all activities comply with regulatory agency standards.

Job description

Overview

Be among the first 25 applicants. Hospital: Seton Medical Center-Williamson. Location: Round Rock, Texas.

Responsibilities

Perform vascular diagnostic procedures to detect peripheral vascular disease or obstructions.
Evaluate patient for presence of peripheral vascular disease by selecting most effective procedures within regulatory and compliance guidelines.
Perform appropriate diagnostic procedures, record patient test results and report results.
Monitor patient comfort and safety during tests, alerting physicians to abnormalities or changes in patient responses.
Maintain adequate supplies and verify all equipment is in proper working condition; report deficiencies and failures.
Position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
Ensure all activities comply with regulatory agency standards.
Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documentation sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history).
Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly department including procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms and related spaces.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

BLS Provider obtained within 1 month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
One or more of the following required:
Cardiographic Tech specializing in Vascular Interpretation credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Radiologic Technologist specializing in Sonography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Sonography Tech specializing in Vascular Sonography credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
