Job Description

The Lead General Utility Worker is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and cleanliness of our front and back of house facilities. The individual may oversee or delegate responsibilities to additional utility workers. Responsibilities may vary by location based on client needs and business requirements.

Job Responsibilities

• Train and guide utility staff on job duties, safety, and sanitation procedures
• Maintain guest satisfaction by ensuring all dishes, pots, pans, silverware, glasses, equipment, and utensils are cleaned and sanitized
• Maintain and clean dishwashing stations, storerooms, refrigerators, and related areas
• Ensure equipment is clean and operational; report issues to management
• Perform light maintenance and custodial tasks
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude towards guests, customers, clients, and co-workers
• Follow Aramark safety policies, including food safety and sanitation procedures

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role
• Ability to exercise judgment to solve problems based on experience
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• May serve as an informal resource for less experienced staff
• Extensive knowledge of kitchen equipment cleaning and usage, including steamers, ovens, mixers, grills, and dishwashers
• Understanding of basic sanitation procedures

This role may involve physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, extended walking, and standing. Uniforms and/or Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required.
