Job Description

The Lead General Utility Worker is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and cleanliness of our front and back of house facilities. The individual may oversee or delegate responsibilities to additional utility workers. Responsibilities may vary by location based on client requirements and business needs.

Job Responsibilities

• Trains and guides utility staff on job duties, safety, and sanitation procedures
• Ensures guest satisfaction by maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of dishes, pots, pans, silverware, glasses, equipment, and kitchen utensils
• Maintains and cleans dishwashing stations, three-compartment sinks, storerooms, refrigerators, and related areas
• Ensures equipment is clean and operational; reports issues to management
• Performs light maintenance and custodial tasks
• Provides excellent customer service with a positive attitude
• Adheres to safety policies and food sanitation procedures

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role
• Judgment and problem-solving skills based on experience
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• May serve as an informal resource for less experienced staff
• Knowledge of proper use and cleaning techniques for kitchen equipment (steamers, ovens, mixers, grills, dishwashers)
• Understanding of basic sanitation procedures

This role may involve physical activities such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended standing or walking. Uniforms and PPE may be required.
