Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Perform general housekeeping duties: sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, trash removal and cleaning of windows and restrooms.
  • Conduct facility policing and upkeep to maintain a clean, safe environment.
  • Assist with weekend, evening, and holiday shifts as required.

This is an 3-month temporary position. It is classified as temporary/part-time and does not include state benefits. Weekend, evening, and holiday work will be required. Recommended applicant will be subject to a background check.

Description of Work:

This position reports directly to the Building Superintendent or Maintenance/ Construction Technician III and provides general housekeeping duties such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, removal of trash, cleaning windows, cleaning restrooms and general policing of the facility.

Must be available to work weekends, evenings, and holidays; possess a valid driver's license, lift and carry 25 lbs. and be able to work with strong chemicals

Job Requirements:

This position may require work in hot, humid, wet and outdoor conditions. This position may require lifting items (up to 25 pounds), walking and standing for long periods of time, and bending up and down. This position will require weekend, evening, and holiday work, Candidate must possess a valid driver’s license.

Management Preferences:
  • Experience with Housekeeping (such as office, business, or commercial cleaning).
  • Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time indoors and outdoors.
Minimum Education and Experience:

High school or General Education Development (GED) diploma and/or experience in the performance of a variety of manual tasks that is directly related to the job and consistent with accepted practices of the trade equivalent to one year of experience.
