Job summary

Riceland Foods, Inc. seeks a General Utility to maintain cleanliness in the maintenance shop, outside area, and surrounding spaces. You will perform daily and monthly tasks, support maintenance staff, and help ensure a safe, orderly work environment.

Responsibilities include restrooms and breakrooms cleaning, trash removal, and inspections of safety stations with oversight by the maintenance superintendent. High school diploma or GED preferred.

Qualifications

• Daily cleaning of restrooms, breakrooms, and shop areas.
• Weekly inspections of safety-related stations (ILT, Tin Cats, Eye Wash Station, Air Hose Stations).
• Assist maintenance superintendent with other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Inspect Fire Extinguishers and Emergency Lights (Monthly).
• Keep maintenance and electrical supplies on hand (towels, TP, soap, etc.).
• Paint as assigned (Monthly).
• Assist maintenance personnel as assigned (Monthly).
• Attend monthly training as directed (Monthly).
• Any other duties assigned by maintenance superintendent (Monthly).

Job Duties

Daily

• Cleaning restrooms and breakrooms: Maintenance Shop and Electrical Shop.
• Emptying trash cans.
• Cleaning in shops, paint shed, compressor room, and areas around these.
• Inspections: Weekly ILT, Tin Cats, Eye Wash Station, Air Hose Stations.
• Any other duties as assigned by maintenance superintendent.

Monthly

• Fire Extinguishers, Emergency Lights.
• Keeping supplies for Maintenance and Electrical on hand: towels, TP, soap, etc.
• Painting as assigned.
• Assist with Maintenance personnel as assigned.
• Monthly training as directed.
• Any other duties assigned by maintenance superintendent.

Education

High school diploma or GED is preferred; equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered.
