Job summary

PlanIT Group, LLC is seeking a skilled trades technician to perform routine repairs and maintenance on plant and office facilities and equipment. The role involves carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC work, and reading blueprints or diagrams to troubleshoot issues.

Responsibilities include interpreting drawings, performing inspections, and reporting problems to a supervisor as needed. Candidate should have hands-on experience across multiple trades and the ability to lift heavy objects.

Qualifications

• Experience in all of the labor trades such as plumbing, structural, electrical, painting and more.
• At least 2 years of experience in HVAC.
• Demonstrated Problem and troubleshooting skills.
• Light construction.
• Metalworking or machining.
• Ability to lift 40-50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine repairs and maintenance of plant and/or office facilities and equipment.
• May troubleshoot equipment or facilities problems and report them to supervisor.
• May interpret blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications.
• May perform routine inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary.

Job description

Performs routine repairs and maintenance of plant and/or office facilities and equipment. Performs basic carpentry, electrical, mechanical, air-conditioning, plumbing, plastic or sheet metal fabrication, or associated work on plant facilities using hand and power tools. May be required to troubleshoot equipment or facilities problems and reports them to supervisor. May interpret blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications. May perform routine inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary.
