Job summary

Gemini Group is seeking a reliable Utility worker for the day shift to keep production areas clean and orderly and to execute general plant maintenance as needed.

You will requisition supplies, transport raw materials between departments, clean machine areas, perform daily equipment checks, scrub floors, dispose of waste, and handle light maintenance tasks to support safe, efficient manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (preferred).
• Ability to read and interpret documents.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions (written, oral, diagram, etc).

Responsibilities

• Requisition basic supplies needed for shop.
• Transport raw materials and semifinished products or supplies between departments or buildings to supply machine tenders or operators with materials for processing.
• Cleans lint, dust, oil and grease from machine areas and overhead pipes.
• Perform daily checks on equipment
• Cleans floors and uses floor scrubber at regular intervals
• Picks up reusable scrap (steel chips) for salvage and puts in appropriate scrap bins
• Cleans rugs and mats as required
• Wash walls and ceilings in manufacturing area as necessary
• Transport trash and waste to appropriate disposal area
• Replenish bathroom supplies; replace light bulbs in facility as needed
• Perform basic ground keeping activities in the spring, summer and fall months
