Job summary

CGL Companies is seeking a General Trades Technician to support plumbing, electrical, and HVAC tasks across our facilities in Georgia. The role involves hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and light carpentry, with on-call rotation to assist with emergencies.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of facility maintenance experience, strong problem-solving skills, and a team-oriented attitude. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and ongoing training opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of facility maintenance experience required.
• Strong hands-on experience across HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Commercial or institutional experience is a strong plus.
• Positive attitude and solid work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Handle core plumbing installs, repairs, and maintenance (sinks, water heaters, soldering, leaks, valves).
• Troubleshoot and repair facility electrical systems, circuits, wiring, and lighting fixtures.
• Maintain, diagnose, and repair HVAC systems to keep spaces safe and comfortable.
• Assist with general building tasks like light carpentry and hardware fixes.
• Log work orders in CMMS and keep work areas clean and safe.
• Collaborate with a supportive team and participate in on-the-job training.
