General Surgery Physician Job with Essentia Health in Fargo, ND

Join a busy full spectrum general surgery practice including laparoscopic, robotic, trauma, breast, vascular, and colorectal cases. The practice is growing to include 6 surgeons, 3 General Surgery NPs, and 1 Wound Care NP. NPs assist in the OR, provide post-op care, and round in the hospital.

The position involves transitioning to an acute care surgery service for day call, with possible 2 weeks of ACS coverage. There is an opportunity for dedicated critical care time at a Level II Trauma Center, which combines clinic and hospital services at one location. There is also potential to become Trauma Medical Director.

The hospital is a 132-bed tertiary facility with private rooms, recognized as a 5-star CMS hospital for Quality. Benefits include malpractice coverage, CME allowance, and a relocation package. Vacation and CME details are to be determined if adopting the ACS model.

Compensation
