How you’ll make an impact in this role

Ascension Saint Thomas Medical Partners is adding a PRN surgical physician assistant to our team in Murfreesboro, TN.

• Working 8-9 hour Saturday and Sunday (on occasion helping fill in for vacations during the week)
• Working with General Surgeon on call with hospital patients
• Manages assigned patients;performs new consults; Assessments during rounding
• Prepare and execute discharge orders and notes
• Collaboration with other services and frequent interaction with hospitalist

• 407 beds, this regional referral center features a modern facility built in 2010 and a newly-renovated 16 operating room suite
• The hospital is centrally located in the fastest growing county in the state of Tennessee on a beautiful 68-acre campus on the bustling “Medical Center Parkway” corridor with convenient access to dining and shopping areas

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Physician Assistant credentialed from the Tennessee Committee on Physicians Assistants obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education

• Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program. Master's degree preferred.

Work Experience

• 1 year of experience preferred.
