Job summary

What You Will Do

This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated Physician Assistant to join an employed position within a busy, well-respected practice, supported by the full resources of a robust health system network.

• Join an established team of 6physicians and 18 APPs
• Practice setting: Inpatient general surgery
• Access to advanced surgical technology (robotics experience preferred) and robust system resources
• Employed position within a nonprofit health system
• Deliver comprehensive patient care by conducting thorough assessments, ordering and interpreting diagnostics, and managing treatment plans under physician supervision to drive optimal health outcomes.
• Empower patients and families by providing high-touch education on treatment options, preventative health, and community resources to support long-term wellness.
• Maintain precise health records through meticulous documentation of care journeys to protect patient safety and maintain seamless care continuity.
• Board Certification required
• Eligible for Maryland state medical licensure and DEA registration required
• Urology experience is a bonus!

What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Physician Assistant credentialed from the Maryland Board of Physicians obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

• Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program. Master's degree preferred.

Work Experience:

• 1 year of experience preferred.
