General Surgery Physician - Academics - Program Director Job with Bayhealth in DE

Join to apply for the General Surgery Physician - Academics - Program Director role at Bayhealth.

Bayhealth Medical Center is seeking an experienced surgeon with academic leadership experience to serve as the Program Director of our General Surgery Residency Program. The institution also offers residency programs in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, and Internal Medicine. We recently matched for our inaugural gastroenterology fellowship, are in the second year of our Hematology/Oncology fellowship, and plan to add another fellowship next year.

The successful candidate will lead the General Surgery Residency Program and join a hospital-based group of general surgeons in Dover. Bayhealth Kent Campus is transitioning from a Level III to a Level II Trauma Center. Responsibilities include general surgery, trauma call, and opportunities to develop special interests. Our ED at Kent handles over 53,000 visits annually and includes Neurosurgery, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Interventional Cardiology, and Radiology staff.
