Job Summary

Seeking a Board Certified General Surgeon to lead the General Surgery Residency Program at Doctors Hospital of Augusta in Augusta, Georgia. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced surgical leader to shape and oversee the residency program.

Minimum Qualifications

• Board Certified in General Surgery
• At least 3 years of educational or administrative experience
• Willing to work clinically and dedicate significant effort to program administration
• Strong leadership, administrative, and team-building skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Current or ability to obtain an unrestricted license to practice in Georgia (note: previous mention of Florida is inconsistent with location)
• No history of license revocation, restriction, or suspension
• Current, unrestricted DEA registration

Responsibilities

• Manage the operation of the General Surgery residency program
• Develop curriculum, policies, and procedures
• Maintain ACGME accreditation and state approval
• Recruit residents and evaluate their performance
• Participate in competency assessments of residents
• Ensure program excellence through additional responsibilities
• Lead a dedicated faculty team with extensive experience
