Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED at hire.
• Completion of a Certified Medical Assistant course.
• Medication Aide 40-hour course or current Medication Aide certification by state agency if applicable.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) at hire.
• Basic Life Support - CPR at hire.
• May require Non-Certified Radiologic Technician (NCT) training.

Responsibilities

• Perform and direct patient care services including admission interview, accurate documentation and timely patient flow.
• Ensure priority care is provided to patients in an emergency situation.
• Assist healthcare providers with exams, treatments, procedures and testing as directed.
• Document care in the EMR including chief complaint, history of present illness, physical exam and patient plan as directed by the physician.
• Work directly with physician to ensure the patient visit is appropriately documented.
• Keep current with EMR flow and templates to optimize physician practice.
