Job summary

The Valley Hospital in Paramus, New Jersey is seeking a qualified Acute Care Practitioner to provide hospital coverage for the surgical team, assist in the operating room (including robotic techniques), and manage pre/postoperative care. The role requires collaboration with supervising physicians and on-call availability.

Candidates should be graduate-level PAs or NPs with active New Jersey licensure, national certification, and appropriate CDS/DEA credentials.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed in New Jersey and hold CDS/DEA certificates upon employment.
• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program or a Nurse Practitioner with an advanced degree.
• National certification: NCCPA for PAs or ANCC/AANP for NPs.

Responsibilities

• Assist in prompt consultations from the emergency department and hospital units.
• First assist in the operating room, including minimally invasive robotic surgery and general cases.
• Perform history and physical examinations and pre/postoperative care.
• Conduct hospital rounding, follow-up care, and discharges for surgical patients.
• Order and interpret labs and imaging; manage medications and documentation; participate in on-call schedules.
