Job summary

0090 Presbyterian System Services in New Mexico is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for an outpatient clinic position. You will perform comprehensive assessments, manage conditions, and coordinate diagnostic testing and care plans with a collaborative health care team.

The role requires licensure in New Mexico (NP or PA) and related certifications; prior outpatient experience is preferred. On-site work with a full-time schedule is provided along with a robust benefits package.

Qualifications

Summary

Provides quality healthcare in collaboration with other health care providers in an outpatient clinic/practice.

Responsibilities

• Perform history and physical assessments
• Manage acute and chronic conditions
• Order, conduct and interpret diagnostic x‑ray and lab tests
• Teach and counsel individuals, families and groups
• Perform minor surgical procedures and assist in surgery
• Work autonomously and collaborate with other health care providers as needed
• Perform health maintenance activities
• Serve as health care resources, interdisciplinary consultants and patient advocate
• Administer preventative health care methods
• Participate in periodic hospital rounding on inpatients
• Perform possible inpatient health care and other required functions

Qualifications

• For Nurse Practitioner: Master’s degree in Nursing; New Mexico Nurse Practitioner license; federal and state DEA license; ANCC certification required. Minimum of one year experience preferred.
• For Physician Assistant: Baccalaureate preparation with CAHEA Certified Physician Assistant or two years working experience as a Certified Physician Assistant; licensed by the New Mexico Board of Medical Examiners required. Minimum of one year experience preferred.
