Job summary

Physician Affiliate Group of New York, PAGNY, seeks a General Surgeon for NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health. The role covers adult general surgery across inpatient, outpatient, ED, and operative settings with trauma and acute care responsibilities.

The candidate will participate in preoperative evaluation, operative management, and postoperative care, while collaborating with other disciplines and supervising learners. NY medical license or eligibility required.

Qualifications

• Board eligible or board certified in General Surgery by the American Board of Surgery.
• New York Medical License (or eligibility to obtain).
• Active BLS, ACLS, and ATLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive general surgical care to adult patients in Inpatient, Outpatient, ED, and Operative settings.
• Evaluate and manage acute and elective general surgical conditions.
• Provide preoperative evaluation, operative management, and postoperative care.
• Participate in the General Surgery inpatient service and call schedule; provide trauma response as needed.
• Educate and supervise residents, fellows, and medical students; participate in quality improvement activities.
