Job summary

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) seeks a General Surgeon for NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health. Serve in inpatient, outpatient, ED, and operative settings with emphasis on comprehensive surgical care.

Qualifications

• Board-eligible or board-certified in General Surgery.
• New York medical license or eligibility to obtain.
• Active BLS, ACLS, and ATLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive general surgical care to adult patients in Inpatient, Outpatient, Emergency Department, and Operative settings.
• Evaluate and manage patients with acute and elective general surgical conditions including acute abdominal conditions and GI emergencies.
• Provide preoperative evaluation, operative management, and postoperative care.
• Participate in General Surgery inpatient service, surgical consults, and call schedule, including emergency coverage.
• Collaborate with other clinical disciplines in managing complex surgical patients.
• Participate in departmental quality assurance and performance improvement activities.
