Job summary

Mount Sinai Medical Center Miami Beach, FL is seeking a General Surgeon to join a high-volume hospital-based practice. You will manage a broad range of conditions with minimally invasive approaches and participate in emergency surgery alongside a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires MD/DO, board certification or eligibility, and Florida licensure eligibility, with MIS fellowship strongly preferred and laparoscopic/robotic proficiency.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Board certified or board eligible in General Surgery.
• Fellowship training in MIS/Advanced GI strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in laparoscopic and robotic techniques.
• Eligible for medical licensure in Florida.

Responsibilities

• Join a high-volume, hospital-based general surgery practice.
• Manage a wide spectrum of general surgical conditions with minimally invasive approaches.
• Participate in emergency general surgery service with shared call coverage.
• Maintain an active elective surgical practice aligned with clinical interests.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered care.
• Educate medical students and residents in OR, clinic, and didactic settings.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practices.
