The West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department of Surgery seek a General Surgeon with expertise in minimally invasive hernia surgery and complex abdominal wall reconstruction to practice in Morgantown, West Virginia.

The successful candidate will join a growing, multidisciplinary hernia practice, participate in the education of medical students, residents and fellows, and have opportunities for clinical research and program development within a collaborative academic

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree or foreign equivalent; eligible for state medical license.
• Board certified or eligible in general surgery.
• Fellowship training or substantial demonstrated experience in complex hernia surgery and abdominal wall reconstruction.

Responsibilities

• Join a growing, multidisciplinary general surgery practice focusing on hernia surgery and abdominal wall reconstruction.
• Utilize robotic, laparoscopic, and open techniques to treat routine and complex cases.
• Engage in education and mentorship of medical students, residents, and fellows; participate in research and quality improvement.
