The ideal candidate is board-certified in General Surgery with an active license, holds required certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS, ATLS), and can maintain continuous availability on call.

Role Overview

This position involves providing on-site general surgery and trauma call coverage at a Level III Trauma Center. The clinician will perform surgery, manage inpatient cases, and handle emergent surgical needs during 24-hour shifts, primarily scheduled around long weekends. Responsibilities include rounding on 8-10 inpatients, performing 4-5 surgeries per shift, and documenting all care using the EPIC EMR system.
