Job summary

LocumTenens.com is seeking a General Surgeon for 24-hour call coverage at a Level III Trauma facility in Colorado. The assignment begins December 2026 and continues ongoing, with emphasis on high-volume trauma and acute surgical care.

Responsibilities include general surgery and trauma procedures, inpatient rounding (8–10 patients) and 4–5 surgeries per shift. Documentation is via EPIC EMR; board certification in General Surgery and an active license are required, along with BLS/ACLS/PALS/ATLS

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree required and Board Certified in General Surgery.
• Active state license to practice; Colorado preferred.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, ATLS and prescriptive authority required.

Responsibilities

• Provide general surgery and trauma procedures on 24-hour call.
• Rounding on inpatients (8–10) and performing 4–5 surgeries per shift.
• Document all care in EPIC EMR and coordinate with on-site team.
