Wayne Memorial Hospital in Honesdale, PA, is seeking a full-time General Surgeon - Surgical Hospitalist to join our surgical team. The role includes comprehensive general surgical evaluation, inpatient consultations, and management of urgent and emergent conditions, with flexible scheduling and various call arrangements.

The ideal candidate is board-certified or board-eligible in General Surgery, holds an active PA medical license and DEA, and excels in interdisciplinary collaboration to deliver

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
• Board certification or eligibility in General Surgery.
• Active Pennsylvania medical license and DEA registration.
• Strong surgical and patient communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage general surgical conditions.
• Perform general surgical procedures within privileges.
• Provide inpatient surgical consultations for urgent cases.
• Coordinate perioperative care and discharge planning.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for patient care.
• Maintain accurate EHR documentation.
