Job summary

Prime Healthcare is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible General Surgeon to join Olympia Fields Hospital in Olympia Fields, IL. The role involves a broad range of general surgical procedures and collaboration with physicians, APPs, nurses, and leadership to deliver patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited General Surgery residency.
• Board certification or eligibility by the American Board of Surgery.
• Active Illinois medical licensure or eligibility.
• Experience in trauma or surgical critical care is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform a broad range of general surgical procedures (hernia, gallbladder, appendectomy).
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care and outcomes.
• Participate in call coverage for emergency and trauma services.
• Maintain accurate documentation and regulatory compliance in the EMR.
