Job summary

We are seeking a full-time General Surgeon to join Laredo Physicians Group and Doctors Hospital of Laredo in Laredo, Texas, with an interest in breast and/or oncology surgery to help expand these vital services in the community.

This hospital-employed position offers a high-volume surgical program with shared call, a state-of-the-art facility, Cerner EMR, and the da Vinci Xi robotic system, supported by a collaborative team dedicated to quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery.
• Active Texas medical license or ability to obtain Texas licensure.
• Spanish language skills not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive general surgery services to a diverse border community patient population.
• Collaborate with experienced surgeons and support staff in a high-volume surgical practice.
• Manage day-to-day surgical responsibilities with coordinated, high-quality care approach.
• Document care using Cerner EMR system.
• Participate in shared call rotation with surgical team.
