The role offers graduated operative autonomy and mentorship, with primary sites in Hyde Park and Ingalls Memorial Hospital in the southern suburbs.

Applicants must have a medical doctorate or equivalent, be eligible for Illinois licensure, and be Board certified or eligible in General Surgery.

Qualifications

• MD or equivalent doctoral degree.
• Eligible for medical licensure in Illinois.
• Board certified or eligible in General Surgery or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide broad exposure to general surgery with elective and acute cases.
• Operate with graduated autonomy in the OR and clinic.
• Participate in a one-year non-renewable transitional training position.
