Seeking fully trained US board-eligible/certified and licensed General Surgeons for part-time opportunities in Navy Reserve Medicine. (Various onsite positions throughout the United States at Navy installations; no remote positions.)
Navy Reserve Medicine offers opportunities for General Surgeons to serve part-time while maintaining their civilian practice. Navy surgeons typically enjoy an accelerated career track, with opportunities to care for the medical needs of service members and their families. It’s a great responsibility—and an honor—of the highest order. The rewards for meeting such challenges are, of course, also great.
As a Navy Reserve Officer, you’ll have the opportunity to see the world. You serve your country part-time, and stay true to yourself. Drill one weekend per month locally, plus one two-week period annually. You may also participate in humanitarian relief efforts both stateside and internationally, collaborating with fellow military doctors and organizations such as FEMA, USAID, and Project Hope.
Navy healthcare offers the ability to focus on medicine in state-of-the-art facilities, without the financial and administrative burdens of private practice. Start-up costs, malpractice insurance, staffing, equipment, and office management are provided.
Incentives:
Applicants must be U.S. citizens, currently practicing, aged 21-64, and meet physical, legal, security, and credential requirements.
