Qualifications

• Board Certified in General Surgery.
• Licensed to practice in North Carolina.
• BLS, ACLS, ATLAS, PALS and ABLS certifications.
• Willingness to provide 24-hour call coverage.
• Experience with inpatient general surgery, GI endoscopy and related procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-call coverage for general surgery emergencies and consults.
• Perform general surgical procedures including laparoscopic and GI endoscopy.
• Manage inpatient surgical patients, including rounding and admissions.
• Participate in emergency surgery call with specified response times.
• Document overtime and callback notes as required.
