General Motors is seeking a General Supervisor to lead daily warehouse operations and drive safe, reliable, and on-time customer shipments on a defined shift. A General Supervisor leads the operational function of a warehouse processing center or distribution center and is accountable for safe, reliable, and customer-focused warehousing activities. You will direct daily operations on an assigned shift and lead salaried and hourly employees who support accurate, timely, and high-quality customer shipments. You will establish expectations, remove operational barriers, reinforce safe work practices, and partner with employees, union representatives, site leadership, and business partners to deliver performance in a fast-paced processing-center environment. The role requires sound judgment and initiative to make decisions with limited guidance while keeping site leadership informed of significant risks, issues, and performance trends.
