JOB SUMMARY
The GENERAL SUPERINTENDENT OF QUALITY is responsible for ensuring that all construction activities meet project specifications, internal quality standards, and regulatory requirements. This role supports the implementation of quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) practices across all projects and conducts independent inspections to ensure compliance, safety, and performance. This position involves reviewing contract documents, leading audits, developing QC programs, and training teams. This role requires a detail-oriented and impartial leader who can drive continuous improvement across projects while ensuring design intent, compliance, and safety are upheld.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. QUALITY ENFORCEMENT & SITE INSPECTIONS: Oversee quality inspections of materials, work procedures, and completed work. Conduct site inspections to verify compliance with design specifications, construction documents, and client expectations. Document site safety conditions and ensure design intent is captured throughout the construction process. Provide weekly reporting to internal stakeholders on quality issues and deliverables.
2. QUALTIY PROGRAM IMPLEMENTATION: Support the implementation of QA/QC processes across all active construction sites. Ensure impartial, fair, and accurate assessment of project activities while maintaining alignment with PCM standards and industry best practices.
3. INDEPENDENT COMPLIANCE MONITORING: Work independently from the project team to verify compliance with regulatory standards, safety requirements, and construction objectives.
4. CONTRACT DOCUMENT QUALITY ASSURANCE: Review contract documents and drawings, conducting peer reviews to ensure internal work meets expectations and industry standards.
5. QC PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT: Assist in developing and maintaining PCM’s QC programs and documentation. Lead training sessions, track lessons learned, document design standards, and monitor the health of current programs and projects.
6. DOCUMENTATION & REPORTING: Prepare and maintain records of inspections, audits, and quality control activities. Generate scorecards for contractors, designers, and construction managers. Provide client-facing documentation and best practice recommendations.
7. NON-CONFORMANCE & CORRECTIVE ACTION: Identify non-conformances and work with internal teams to address them. Develop and help implement corrective action plans to prevent future issues.
8. TRAINING AND LEADERSHIP: Train project personnel on quality control protocols and facilitate QA meetings. Promote a culture of quality safety and continuous improvement across the organizations.
9. PERFORMS OTHER ESSENTIAL DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.
EQUIPMENT OPERATED:
- General office equipment (fax machine, copier, desk phone, scanner)
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of safety protocols and multi-discipline construction (Structural, Civil, MEP, Finishes)
- Knowledge of construction drawings, codes, specifications, and QA/QC standards
- Ability to conduct audits of job sites for given quality standards.
- Ability to identify risks and recommend actions to mitigate.
- Ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures.
- Ability to operate in an ethical manner.
- Ability to maintain effective and respectful communication and working relationships with all stakeholders.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality management, project management, or as a superintendent.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in quality control management, Construction Management, or related field
- Certification in Quality Assurance, OSHA 30, CPR/First Aid, Fall Protection, or Confined Space
SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Must pass a criminal background check
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Must have and maintain a good driving record
- Must pass preemployment drug screening
- Clean driving record
- Drug test
- Must be able to climb ladders & safely navigate all aspects of active job sites.
- Must be available to travel 80% of working hours.

WORK CONDITIONS:
Works in a heated and cooled office environment, and
Works outside in all types of weather and may be exposed to extreme heat and cold, rain, snow, sun etc,
This is a safety sensitive position due to driving requirements or job responsibilities whole include safety-sensitive tasks that require performing duties fraught with risk of injury to others where even a momentary lapse of attention may have grave and disastrous consequences.
